How to make a donation

Please print and fill out the donation form and send it with your donation to:

Donations in Person

Visit the HDH Foundation Office at the main entrance of the Hospital, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.

Online Donations

The HDH Foundation is registered with, which enables us to accept secure online donations.  To make a donation online click here.  Credit Card, Debit Card, and Paypal donations are accepted, and you will receive a tax receipt for your donation via email. 

The HDH Foundation has also teamed up as a charity partner with  ChangeIt is a secure and tax-efficient way to make automatic donations with every credit card purchase by simply rounding up your MasterCard purchases and donating the difference to us.  Ie. .88 cents can become .90 cents or $1.00 based on rounding preferences which you can set so a $19.98 purchase becomes $20.00 and the hospital would receive 2 cents from that specific purchase. A limit can also be set for the month at $5 or $10 dollars and when that ammount is reached, change it will stop rounding until the next month.

With ChangeIt you can track your donations online, control your rounding preferences, and even set a monthly maximum.  At the start of each month, a donation notification will be delivered straight to your inbox from ChangeIt to let you know how much you donated in the previous cycle.  You’ll also receive an annual Official Donation Receipt for Income Tax Purposes from us for every penny you donate.  Your small change can make a big difference!

Monthly Donations

Donations can be arranged at regular set intervals by prepaid cheque or credit card.  This can be set up by mail, phone, or in person.

In Kind Donations

Non-cash donations are also graciously accepted by the HDH Foundation.  An example of this might be for the biennial Auction-Gala event.  Eligible tax receipts are issued for the fair market value of the item.

In Memoriam Donations

A meaningful way to express sympathy in memory of a family member or friend is to donate to the HDH Foundation in their honour.  A card will be sent to the bereaved family to inform them of the donation, and you will receive a tax receipt and thank you.

Celebration Donations

A truly perfect gift is one that benefits the entire community.  To honour a loved one or to pay tribute to Hospital staff members, a donation can be made to the HDH Foundation.  In return, the donor will receive a tax receipt and thank you; also, a card will be sent to the individual being honoured. 

The HDH Foundation can help you set up donations on your behalf in lieu of gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, weddings, and more.

Corporate Matching Donations / Community Special Events

Businesses, organizations and service groups can give back to their community too!  Hosting a special event or having your company match employee donations is a great way to get involved and to support the Hospital.
