A: Yes, the HDH Emergency Room is available 24/7 with a physician on site to assist with your urgent medical needs.
You will be screened at the entrance for COVID-19 and be asked to wear a mask while in the hospital.
Wait times vary and patients are not seen on a first come first served basis but rather based on how urgent their health care needs are.
A: The HDH COVID-19 Assessment Centre operates by appointment only. Appointments for the COVID-19 Assessment Centre will be posted up to 48 hours in advance only. PLEASE BOOK SEPARATE TIME SLOTS FOR EACH FAMILY MEMBER IN NEED OF TESTING. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your appointment time. Wear a mask, practice social distancing while in line and wash your hands prior to entering the hospital.

The booked appointments will be booked in 30 minute time slots. For example, if a patient booked an appointment during the 1:00pm – 1:29pm timeslot, they may attend the centre at any point during that time period for their appointment.
Rapid tests are not available at the HDH COVID-19 Assessment Centre.
A: A HDH Lab requisition is required in order to receive out-patient services. Out-patient services are available Monday-Friday from 9am – 12pm by booked appointment.

A: Yes, water sample bottles can be picked up and dropped off at the Emergency entrance.
