Emergency Department Expect Longer Wait Times

The HDH Emergency Department expects to have longer wait times this week and weekend due to multiple emergency department closures within the region. Please note that Emergency Departments DON’T run on a first come, first served basis. The triage process determines which patients need the most urgent care, and prioritizes accordingly. We encourage non-urgent patients to consider another alternative (family physician, virtual clinic, etc.) as longer than usual waits are expected. In a medical emergency, please call 911.
